简介
设计文化沙龙是由英国维多利亚与艾伯特博物馆主办的不定期讨论项目活动。沙龙将在一个空间进行:
·制定关于设计的复杂性、动态性和普遍性在当代社会中所扮演的角色的相关辩论及讨论;
·进一步讨论设计文化,批判,表达和实践如何进一步发展;
每次活动都将邀请特定的讨论嘉宾及主持嘉宾。 小组成员对活动主题做出简短的个人概述,随后进行开放讨论。
设计文化沙龙是由V&A博物馆、布莱顿大学设计文化教授发起,由他和布莱顿大学当代设计文化研究所Leah Armstrong共同组织的。
沙龙由布莱顿大学和V&A学习机研究部门支持。
本次沙龙开辟了来自中国和英国的创意人及学者之间的跨文化对话。来自中英两个国家的专家学者以及创造和创客空间过去的历史、现在的实践以及未来的可能性是什么?他们可能在促进创新,社会变革和可持续发展的生活中扮演了什么样的角色?在这种环境下,我们是否需要遵循知识产权保护的方式来看待开放创新?创客空间及其他类似的空间对创意有怎样的新观念?
沙龙将持续90分钟。活动参加者将分小组,提交一份关于该主题的思考,随后进行开放式的讨论。

About
The Design Culture Salons areoccasional discussion events hosted by the Victoria & Albert Museum,London. They provide a space to:
·develop advanceddebate and discussion on the complex, dynamic and pervasive role of design incontemporary society;
·consolidate discussionas to how design culture, criticism, representation and practice can be furtherdeveloped.
Each event features aninvited panel and guest chair. Panelists provide brief, personal overviews ofthe respective event’s theme. This is followed by open discussion.
The Design Culture Salons were created by GuyJulier, University of Brighton Professor of Design Culture at the V&A(@guyjulier), and are organised byhim and Leah Armstrong(@LeahJArmstrong), University of Brighton ResearchOfficer in Contemporary Design Culture, also at the V&A.
The salons are supported by the University of Brighton and the Learning Departmentand Research Department of the V&A.
This Salon opens up a cross-culturaldialogue between creative people and academics from China and the UK. It featuresa panel of experts from both countries and audience participation to consider anumber of questions including the following. What are the past histories,current practices and future possibilities for making and makerspaces? Whatroles might they have in fostering innovation, social change and sustainableliving? Do we need to align approaches to open innovation with the protectionof intellectual property in this context? What new conceptions ofcreativity do makerspaces and similar set ups produce?
The Salon will last 90 minutes.Panellists will present their reflections on the topic and then open discussionwill follow.
Chair : Professor Guy Julier,University of Brighton/Victoria and Albert Museum, London
Guy Julier is the University of Brighton/Victoria &Albert Museum Principal Research Fellow in Contemporary Design andProfessor of Design Culture. He is also Visiting Professor of Design Studies atthe University of Southern Denmark in Kolding. He has been Honorary Professorat the Glasgow School Art and Visiting Fellow at the University of Otago,New Zealand. He is an editorial board member of the Journal of Visual Culture and Design and Culture.
